Ingredients
- Shredded ½ English cucumber
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ½ container (16 ounces) of Greek yogurt (like Fage®)
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons of freeze-dried dill
- 1 teaspoon of finely chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
- ½ package (4 ounces) of crumbled feta cheese
- 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into fries
- 2 teaspoons of high-quality olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of Greek seasoning (such as Cavender's®)
- Cooking spray
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup of sliced Kalamata olives
- 12 grape tomatoes, cut in half
Step 1
Begin by placing the shredded cucumber in a colander and gently sprinkling it with salt, allowing it to drain for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the flavorful tzatziki sauce in a small bowl by combining creamy yogurt, zesty lemon juice, aromatic dill, minced garlic, tangy vinegar, and crumbled feta cheese. Mix everything well until it forms a creamy blend, then add the drained cucumber and set the mixture aside for later use.
Step 2
Next, preheat your air fryer to a temperature of 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) to get it ready for the delicious fries. In a large bowl, toss the fries with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Greek seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray before placing half of the seasoned fries into it.
Step 3
Air fry the fries for approximately 10 minutes, then flip them over and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes or until they reach your desired level of crispiness. Repeat this process with the remaining batch of fries until they are all perfectly cooked.
Step 4
To serve, divide the crispy fries among 4 plates and generously drizzle the refreshing cucumber sauce over them. Enhance each plate with colorful accents such as strips of vibrant red onion, briny Kalamata olives, and juicy grape tomatoes for a delightful finishing touch.
