Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas, with its flavorful liquid set aside
- 3 tbsp of soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of olive oil, or adjust to your liking
- 2 tbsp of zesty lemon juice
- 1 tbsp of creamy tahini for added richness
- 1 tbsp of pungent wasabi powder
- 1 single clove of garlic
- ¼ tsp of aromatic ground black pepper
Step 1
Mix together some of the chickpeas, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, wasabi powder, garlic, and black pepper in a blender until it's silky smooth. Remember to scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure everything is well combined. Transfer this creamy blend into a bowl.
Step 2
Next, blend the rest of the chickpeas in the blender, setting aside a few for later. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add some of the liquid from the cans. Combine this second batch with the first one and give it a good stir.
Step 3
Create a little well in the middle of the hummus using the back of a spoon. Decorate it with the reserved chickpeas and a drizzle of olive oil.
Step 4
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Extra Tips & Suggestions
- 1. Keep it Cool : Store your Savory Fusion Hummus in the fridge to maintain its freshness and flavor. The cool temperature will also help preserve the unique blend of wasabi and soy flavors.
- 2. Seal the Deal : Transfer your hummus to an airtight container before refrigerating. This will prevent any odors from seeping in and ensure that the hummus stays creamy and delicious.
