Ingredients
- 1 pork loin roast weighing 5 pounds of weight
- 1 ½ tbsp of Hawaiian sea salt
- 1 tbsp of liquid smoke flavoring
Step 1
Place the roast snugly in a versatile pressure cooker, like the Instant Pot®. Give it a generous massage with Hawaiian sea salt and create tiny holes all over using a fork or a slim knife. Sprinkle some liquid smoke over the meat. Seal the lid securely. Opt for high pressure as per the appliance's advice; set the timer for 120 minutes. Give it some time, around 15 to 30 minutes, to build up pressure.
Step 2
When ready, release the pressure naturally following the manufacturer's guidelines, for approximately 15 minutes. Unlock the lid and carefully take out the roast, placing it on a plate.
Step 3
If desired, skim off any excess fat from the meat and gently shred it using two forks into a lovely serving bowl.
Step 4
Use a fat separator to remove the fat from the cooking liquid, then drizzle the strained liquid over the shredded meat for an extra burst of flavor.
