Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of rich brown sugar
- 1 tsp of aromatic garlic powder
- ½ tsp of flavorful onion powder
- 1 tbsp of spicy chili powder
- 1 ½ tsp of smoky ancho chile powder
- 1 tsp of zesty chipotle chile powder
- 1 tbsp of a special salt-free seasoning blend
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking
- 1 flat iron steak weighing 2 pounds
- ¼ cup of versatile vegetable oil
Step 1
Combine an array of flavorful spices such as brown sugar, garlic and onion powders, along with a mix of chili powders and seasoning blend in a bowl. Ensure they are well mixed before generously sprinkling the blend over the steak, gently massaging it into the meat. For optimal flavor infusion, allow the steak to marinate in the fridge for at least half an hour, or for a more intense taste, refrigerate for up to two days.
Step 2
Prior to cooking, enhance the steak by drizzling it with vegetable oil and rubbing the oil evenly to coat the meat. Cook the steak according to your preferred method to savor all the delicious flavors.
